However you have to do it, make it work. Use whatever space, furniture and equipment you can afford and start recording.

STEP 1 - SETTING UP YOUR MIC

1. Mic Stand Assembly

Get your tripod Mic Stand tightened and set to desired height.

2. Attach Mic Shock Mount

Screw on the shock mount (if your mic came with one).

3. Screw Mic Into Shock Mount

Make sure to keep your mic facing the right direction when locking it into the shock mount.

4. Mic is Installed

The front of the mic is facing 180 degrees from the back of the shock mount.

5. XLR (Male-Female) Cable for Mic

I recommend at least a 20 ft. mic cable.

6. Connect XLR (female) into Mic

You will hear a *click* when the cable is fully in.

7. Pop Filter

If you're using a cloth pop filter, remember to rub it with soap and water b/c it can get a little smelly.

8. Tighten Pop Filter to Stand

Attach to main bar of the mic stand and position it so the filter part will line up in front of the mic.

9. Pop Filter Tightened

Keep this pretty tight.

10. Mic Setup Complete

Keep pop filter in front of the mic. Also, keep about 1-4 inches of space between the pop filter and mic.
